Thanks Santa... New Sails on Clapotis

On December 25th, Santa dropped off some big bags on the deck of Clapotis.

Clapotis got new D4 Technora / Kevlar double-taffetas protection. We tried the genoa yesterday and installed the new mainsail today.

New Nets on CLAPOTIS

Our Friend Etienne came from FLORIDA

He installed on Clapotis a new Net/Trampoline Knitted White Polyamide 13mm square.

Lobster Bisque

The whole Naos team was invited on Clapotis to taste the special lobster bisque.

A windy Sunday

Today we were supposed to go sailing with kids and friends... 25 knots outside, 10 feet swell. We decided to have a long French lunch on board and go for a Harbor cruise inside Marina Del Rey ...

Wine is important for the captain

Captain loves Bordeaux wine and it is a part of the lifestyle on Clapotis when friends come aboard. So we got a real cooled wine cellar for the ''Grand Cru Classe''', re-arrange the official wine cellar to stack more bottles and have the cabinet under the floor filled-up with bottles...

New Panel door for the systems

i wanted to keep an eye on all the systems ... and with the full panel wood door it was impossible...

So a master wood worker integrated a plexiglass panel that allows to check everything and see what is ON and what is OFF !!! The result is just awesome

Making Clapotis our Home

It is always a pleasure to personalize your boat. We had fun to fit up the boat with some marine ''arts'' !!! being on a boat is like being at your beach house so let's remind it !!!

HANDRAILS ... Comfort and safety

We added handrails on the transoms of Clapotis.

It is making the step on board much easier when you are docked sideway.

It is also better for safety as you have something to grab on the transom.

It is also making the dinghy docking easier. Every base has 4 bolts trough bolted with a nylon lock and washer in the back

More storage in the galley !!!

Storing stuffs on a boat is always a challenge.

And you always try to maximize the storage and be very efficient in organizing your storage.

For that , we divided the galley storage by adding some shelves in the cabinets. We ended up to store more galleyware and save a lot of volume.

Sailing with the kids

It was a great sunday with the family.

We sailed to Paradize Cove in Malibu where we swam and had a great lunch

We had 4 kids on board from 1 to 9 years and the 2 teenagers !
